Community health and wellbeing talks; transformation through education
Human beings have spent the past three million years being highly active, living with and off the land. We aren't hardwired for the constant demands and stresses that modern life throws at us or the processed diet we eat to fuel ourselves.
Placing faith in our 'trusted authorities' who dictate to us the rights and wrongs of diet and lifestyle (for our own good)? Food fads come and go diet trends rise and fall. And yet, we have a health crisis on our hands. Here in the UK obesity and metabolic syndrome continue to grow at an alarming rate with no sign of slowing down.
We have a greater access to a diversity of food and healthcare than at any other time in history and yet we are dealing with more diseases and health issues than at any other time in history.
The trajectory of the UK health outcomes does not look positive for the future if we carry on this same path.
Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is nothing less than foolish and will not bring us resolution.
Why are so many struggling to positively manage their weight, blood pressure, energy, vitality and wellbeing? Big Pharma and the Food Industry have lost their way with vested and conflicts of interest. Profit over peoples’ health has led to a massive increase in health issues. We look to discuss this, bring awareness, deliver potential solutions and more in our talks.
Our community talks are designed to educate and inspire people to fulfil upon their potential by embracing the knowledge to make a difference in their lives.
Empowering and enabling people to make informed wise food and lifestyle choices that are evidence based (not conditioning from the food industry or the media). Covering subjects from food mythology to all areas of metabolic syndrome; dealing with digestion, inflammation and weight loss.
We also have a children’s behaviour specialist onboard; Homeopath and Neuroscientist Sue Cook who covers all areas of Autistic spectrum and ADHD in children and adults. Sue is happy to speak to parents groups or community events
Imagine life where food didn’t consume our thoughts and weight gain wasn’t a concern. We have more than enough energy and health is optimal.
The words 'healthy eating' what do they mean?
Consider that these words have been exploited, and subverted in the name of profit. In many ways healthy eating has become meaningless, high jacked by the food industry marketing team.
Unscrupulous and misleading food industry messages, many of us are developing diseases now common place that over 70 years ago were rare.
We are fed messages that many foods are synonymous with healthy eating whilst being warned to stay away from others. and yet, if these warnings were factual why are we faced with a health crisis?
Statistically the UK has the highest rate of obesity in Europe with up to 70% of women and a third of men classified as overweight. A staggering 40% of women in the UK are considered obese.
As we collectively battle with metabolic syndrome, and watch our children gain weight with learning and behavioural challenges, we become normalised to the situation. Are we to accept this as standard?
Can we always trust the mainstream, standardised information to fit our individual needs?
We specialise in delivering educational health talks for community groups that promises to transform their relationship to food and their own health. Armed with the right knowledge they get to see that anything is possible.
